UGC- BSR Research Fellowship Notification for Doctorates
The UGC, was formally established only in November 1956 as a statutory body of the Government of India through an Act of Parliament for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India. In order to ensure effective region-wise coverage throughout the country, the UGC has decentralised its operations by setting up six regional centres at Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhopal, Guwahati and Bangalore. The head office of the UGC is located at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in New Delhi, with two additional bureaus operating from 35, Feroze Shah Road and the South Campus of University of Delhi as well.
Eligibility:
Ph.D in the area of Biotechnology, Biosciences, Agricutural Sciences , Medical Sciences and Engineering Sciences to undertake research leading to a Ph.D degree
Fellowship Amount:
The fellowship amount is Rs 10,000 per month along with a contingency grant of Rs 6,000 per annum.
How To Apply:
Applications are invited in the prescribed format from candidates who have registered for Ph.D for availing Fellowship from the UGC-BSR Fellowship Scheme for a duration on two years.
Duly filled in applications along with copies of required documents should be submitted to “ THE DIRECTOR, CENTER FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY, ANNA UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI 600 025” on or before 30TH DECEMBER 2009
