The intern will work in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Optimization (SMO) and online advertising teams and will be tasked with authoring unique content, researching keywords, and analyzing popular products related to the core segments of our company. By participating in our online marketing internship program you would be getting first-hand experience with multiple facets of our in-bound marketing strategy including:

1. Search Engine Optimization/Maximization (SEO/SEM) Services,

2. Social Media Optimization (SMO) services

3. Link Building services

4. Pay Per Click (PPC) services

5. Online Advertising and web analytics

6. Blogging and public relations

7. Editorial and content writing

Job requirements & responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Research and write product specific information, complete the database for its different service offerings, namely, online grocery, online pharmacy, healthcare providers and restaurants.
Promote content through several internet marketing channels
Optimize product and website titles and descriptions for search on SEO/SEM, SMO
Identify popular products and offerings for the company
Research and help maintain a database of keywords, categories, and relevant data for each product
Work with Google and Yahoo on pay-per-click ad campaigns.
Optimize performance of the keyword portfolio by testing new content initiatives
Brainstorm on new techniques and new SEO/SEM, SMO and PPC projects
Conduct competitive search marketing analysis, monitor and report on SEO metrics.
Search Media Optimization (SMO) of webpage and each of its service offerings. Monitor and report on SMO metrics.
Link building services to various main and internal pages of the website.

Who can apply: – Anyone interested in SEO, internet marketing, and publishing original work online to build a professional portfolio is encouraged to apply. Candidates possessing passion for writing, online promotion, and editing content, and Marketing, English, Journalism, Communication and other writing intensive course graduates are also encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following skill sets:

Fundamental knowledge of HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript/Jquery, and PHP.
Experience writing, creating, and implementing SEO/SEM, SMO techniques to improve organic search results for optimized key terms, generating leads and driving traffic.
Willingness to take direction and continue to learn about the multiple disciplines encompassed in interactive design
Knowledge of the graphic development tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
Experience in multi-tasking and managing your own tasks in a deadline driven environment and ability to work in a multidisciplinary development environment with software engineers, marketing representatives and graphic designers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and adherence to deadlines and budgets.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or Web Design.
Experience working with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and email campaign tools such as Mail Chimp. Advertising agency experience would be advantageous.
Experience working with Social Networking sites, social applications and plugins
Experience working with websites on open-source/php frameworks. (i.e. WordPress, Drupal, Magento, etc)

Location: – Noida, India

Duration: – 2 months with an optional extension for 6 months based on student’s academic calendar. Full time positions will be offered to interested people found to be a good fit for the company.

Start date: – 1-July-2011 or flexible based on student’s academic calendar

Cost of the internship, stipend & Perks: – This is a paid internship with up to Rs. 5,000 per month. On completion of the program an internship certificate will be awarded. In addition, based on the performance bonus and rewards would be paid. Stipend and perks are negotiable and will increase with the experience and expertise of the applicant.
