Fashion Internship at Auroville village- Udhayam action
Auroville village action group ( Udhayam action a newly formed tailoring unit at AVAG) welcomes and encourages highly motivated fashion designer to apply to become volunteers or interns. We are currently involved with the SEDAB project supported by ministry of Integrated rural development, to train women for their livelihood We are working with village women to train them and make them independent. The role of fashion designer is to link them and teach them, the latest happening in the textile design. it is the golden opportunity for the young minds to learn as independently and for the community development and decentralized way. The only requirements necessary to volunteer or become an intern at AVAG are that you are motivated, flexible and able to work independently. AVAG encourages those who would like to volunteer or become interns to do so for a minimum of 3 months or preferably longer. AVAG is unable to offer full financial support to volunteers or interns. However, AVAG can provide some assistance on an individual basis.
